I'm a little confused about the RENDER MOTION function of DVD-Lab. After I import an .mpg asset (which then is converted to .mpv form) I try adding it to the background where its dimmed out. So I do the RENDER MOTION thing, set the time and other settings, and make the output file MPEG-2 and then save it as, lets say "Rendered BG". After quite a long wait (92 second clip), I get it converted to the .m2v format. But while I can see the first frame displayed in the background, I can't actually play the movie. Even when I use the simulation, I can't seem to see the background running, so I have no idea if it works or not. Is there anyway to get this too work? Or is it not even possible? Or am I going about it the wrong way? Problem number two: No sound. I can't seem to get sound to run anywhere, on the menu or the movie itself. I've tried converting the files to .wav but I still have problems. When I click on the audio tab in the preview window, I get the message "Video+Audio can play only on multiplexed (program) files *.mpg *.vob". So how do I get the audio to work? Alot of guids I've read say that .wav should be fine and all I have to do is drag and drop, but it doesn't seem to be working. If I can get any help on this I'd be really grateful.
Noone knows how to do this? I just need to know what/how to convert audio files to a usable file so that I can use it in menus and for the actual movie. If this is in the wrong section, can I get it moved?
