I have been backing up my kid's Disney DVDs to avoid loss and destruction. I have a Lightscribe Drive and have been playing around with the disc art. Does anyone have a source for all the sumbols (NTSC, MPAA, Region Codes, THX, etc.) Thanks
Region codes http://www.afterdawn.com/glossary/terms/region_code.cfm NTSC http://archive.ncsa.uiuc.edu/SCMS/training/general/details/ntsc.html MPAA http://www.mpaa.org/ ain't search a wonderfull tool??
Those are all great for the definitions. But I am looking for the actual disc symbols. Search is great but reading the post is even better.
If you just want the cover cd/insert not got a scanner try here Cdcovers.cc-worlds largest.collection
Well NTSC is a computer file system! MPAA is an organisation! Region Codes vary around the world! Why on earth should there be video symbols for them?? why don't you make up your own... of course only you, will know what they mean lololol gringle
I have surething label deluxe 4 and it has some of the things your looking for. they've got an update for lightscribe.
well it's got one of the symbols your looking for And it works with lightscribe. who knows there may be more
I found a few of the images and just redrew them. They may or may not work for you. I can change the backgrounds and the number on the region code icon if you are going to use them. MPAA: Region Code: I'll see if I can find a THX icon... You will probably need an image editor of some sort.
At http://www.Surething.com , they have what's called CombiNumerals Pro for $14.95 dwnld. This has all of the symbols you're looking for and many you probably hadn't considered.
Go to Surething.com and look at the bottom right hand corner Pro CD/DVD Fonts, click on it and it will give you all that you need and more. Even looks so good I might buy it myself, I do have their main labeling program.
you could try looking on some font websites, they have loads of dingbats and wingding fonts with these symbols in vector format (scalable) so they can be printed at high res and look much better..
i was replying to your question as to what i was talking about with the hand symbol further up the post. i shall leave the thread..
