Hey fellas, this is my first post and I am having some issues. I have a Plextor 716SA and am using Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 Home and DVD decrypter. Any time I back up a DVD that I have saved on my harddrive, the last chapter freezes and skips. I have tried reinstalling Roxio, updating the firmware and even reformatting my computer, the same problem occurs (this began a few months ago). The movie plays fine from the ripped version on the hard drive so I know the rip is good. Also, when I try to back up cds, they are filled with background static. I was wondering if a combination of these problems means my burner is going out. I have probably burned 400 DVDs and CDs total. The last thing I am going to try is hooking up another burner to see if the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Brandon
