Turns out the v2 blue top optodisc are still just 1x burns. Atleast I got em for around $1.50 each (after shipping, taxes, duty...)

Although I've burnt 2 so far and my computer and dvd player won't read em. Tried using imgtool burn and nero express. I'm going to try 1 or 2 more and hopefully its not a bad batch. It would suck having to ship em back to the states.

cofrpayne, don't trust the princ's. Keep playing the princos but don't be surprised if they gibble out. If they do, reburn them on the riteks.

Just wanted to check-in and say that I ordered a 100 Princo 4x DVD-Rs from http://www.blankmedia.ca and they sent the order off the afternoon their received the order.

They were very helpful in responding to questions and the price was excellent $1.60 each including shipping but not including tax.

    I'd highly recommend these guys!

Blankmedia.ca has the best prices and quality around. Disks are exactly as advertised, shipped quickly and a good price. I have ordered from the States and even when shipped as 'gift' the blankmedia price was better. Better prices than in Toronto. I have been price watching since March and they had the best deal. Just my 2 cents

I just did a check around again.
Blankmedia.ca has the best damn prices for
the best damn quality disks. I have ordered
from them twice, always on time, always
good disks. This site is on track to take over
the blank dvd media in canada.

I noticed the other day that they just updated
blankmedia.ca too. I think this thread "dvd
media in canada" and the question of
"where do i find good media for good
prices?!!", can be ended now that this
    website has come along.

    Ya I'm talking about Ritek G03 1x/2x.
The ones I got were silver on top and purple on bottom.
    Burning well so far.
I'm especially pleased that there is a new version of DVDShrink 3.1.2 out! The new layout and funky toolbar buttons make better sense. Makes burning fun!

hi i am having problems with dvd media in general. My qwestion is when i use generic dvd media in my Verbatim dvd+-r/rw Producer 44 it wont recognize the disk and prompts me to insert a disk, on the other hand when i use memorex or maxell (any name brand) it works perfectly. Do i need to change a setting? download patch? i'm confused??????

I would say that your generic media is junk. If possible see if you can return it.

For my recomendation Blankmedia.ca is really good, cheapest for DVD- disks and the shipping still has it less than other local stores.
