I have about 10 avi files that i converted into 1 DVD using WinAvi. Now i have tons of vob files. I want to create a DVD menu so you can choose what movie to watch. I'm trying to use DVDLab pro but i'm really lost. Can someone help me or tell me how to do it a different way? And once i have my dvd menu created how do i burn them all into one? Thanks
Try e.g. DVD Remake: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/index.php?PHPSESSID=b434056dcb230280bf3442dce6b43aa0 Happy Menu making!
noticed you have multi-posted here already http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/246440 thats a no no.......... just put 'bump' in your original post so it gets forwarded to the top so members will see it, no need for making a second post asking the same question. ok, now, back on topic. is winavi the only program you have? will your stand alone player support .avi format? try nero, i have dne it before putting 4 or 5 avi files together with a menu for each and chapters.
If it's a DVD Menu then I wouldn't suggest putting no more than 3 or 4 movies on a disc.. If you have already converted the AVI's to DVD Files you can use NEROVISION EXPRESS Just add the Video files and then it will help you create a menu..
How would you go about using DVD Remake Pro to make a menu? There is an easy way to make a menu using DVDlab pro. Open the first VOB using VOBEdit (free). Then Click on "Demux" and select the first two options on the bottom half of the screen (under "demux multiple streams at once"). Click OK and when you are finished, you will have 2 large files: a .M2V and a .AC3. Now import those into DVDlab Pro. add these files to your main movie. The .m2v will be your video and the .ac3 will be your audio. Now create chapter points where the original files were split. Now delete "menu1". After that select "menu=>scene selection menu=>thumbnail scene selection" Choose a template and click OK. After a few seconds, you will have scene selection menus for your movie. Delete the buttons that point to the main menu since there wil not be one. Another option would be to chang those to "Resume" buttons by right clicking and selecting "link=>resume movie". Save your project and compile. Then test it using IFOEdit's "DVD Play" feature or burn to a DVDRW and test every function you can think of (menu navigation, chapter navigation, etc...). There are better ways of doing this, but this is probably the easiest. EDIT: Use this method if your .avi files were episodes. If each was a movie, do not combine the .VOB files. Add each .VOB as a separate movie. Make sure you tell DVDlab Pro to DEMUX the VOBs when you import them (it will be the first option). You will then need to make a main menu and a menu for each movie. Look over this thread as I have posted a mini guide to reauthoring & joining multiple DVDs using DVDlab Pro and this will be similar to your scenario: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/245072
