Ok, i've been trying to make a MP3 DVD and lost alot of dvd's cause i don't seem to know what im doing lol. I checked it my dvd player handles mp3's and mp3 dvds, and it does (my player is a Philips MX5100VR) Can anyone help me out with figuring out what im doing wrong? Maybe theres things i need to know to get this to work. I burn using Nero, Alcohol120, blindwrite, CopytoDVD, CloneDVD, DeepBurner and others ive tried...and it still gives me Disc Error when i put it into my dvd player. HELP lol
I believe all you need is nero. I have only made one mp3 dvd and it worked fine. If your music is already in the mp3 format, then make a data dvd. thats what i did. However, I only played it on the computer. It did work though.
Nero is all you need....... it has a setting for Mp3 DVD in Nero Express and you can burn to a DVD-9 or a DVD-5! If your stand alone plays Mp3s then it will work. If you used this already and found out that it didn't work with your player then it could be your disk itself. Use only quality disks like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Sony, Maxell (all the made in Japan disks). If you're burning to Memorex, that's crappy media and always causes problems with read errors and sucks! It costs the same to use good media as well as bad media so you should know what's good and what's bad! Here is a media guide to help you learn about good media and bad: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm download the free version of DVDInfo Pro to identify your disk as to what manufacturer ID it may have: www.dvdinfopro.com stop many problems and start using the good stuff!
Nero is the program, I have backed all my MP3 to DVD using Nero. Sure beats using CD's. Worked out great when transferring all the music from my old computer to my new.
thanks for all your feedback guys. I tried burning it with nero, both as a data and as an MP3 DVD, and i use maxell DVD-Rs, but what im talking about is after burning the mp3 dvd, going into my living room, putting the dvd in the dvd player for my tv...and having the music come out of my entertainment speakers, ya know lol thats when my dvd player gives me a disk error. I wanted to know if there was something special i needed to do to make it work, like setting before i burn the dvd, or whatever. That was my question hehehe
Did you make sure you finalized the disk, you cannot leave it open as a multisession. You must put all the music on it and then tell it to finalize.
i think my dvd's always finalize everytime i burn on...thats the default setting since i use the same program to burn programs, burn dvd video and all works, except for the mp3 dvds
This is the message you get in Nero Express, the program you use to create a MP3 DVD. Make sure you uncheck the box, so the disk finalizes and no other files can be added
I did all that you said...and still didnt work....i got no clue whats wrong with this crap lol im using the good dvd's, my dvd player says it can play mp3 dvds, my movies and everything i burn work fine on it...but i just cant seem to catch a break with burning mp3's for it grrrrrr lol
thats exactly everything i did. And it didnt work. I doubt my dvd player plays it cause ive tried every possible way to do this, ive lost about 20 dvd's on trying to do this....i'll just keep using my computer to listen to music i guess
Sorry it is not working for you, looked up your player and it should play MP3 http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers...dvdtv=&chipset=&country=&orderby=Name&hits=25 Wish I could tell you more.
well i appreciate your help anyways. I think im gonna sell that damn dvd player anyways....its both a dvd player and a VHS player, and i dont do VHS anymore..its a system i won...ill keep the surround sound but sell the dvd\vhs player thanks again btw...what would u recommend i get when i get a new one? which dvd player can handle stuff the best...dvd mp3s and burnt dvds
I have a Sony and it plays beautifully paid 70 bucks a WalMart, also have a couple of cheap players an older Apex and a CyberHome both 35.00 and they will play pizzas if I let them. But for Home Theater I really recommend Sony they are great.
alright, i will be sure to go look for something in the sony's that'll connect with my surround sound. I'll try to find a sight that gives me comparisons on the best and worse dvd players if that even exists lol
