hi,i burnt dvds but forgot to finalize them, i do not have the original unit,is there anyway that i can finalize them? thank you
no.........must be done on same machine. Sorry. I don't think another one just like it would work either.
bobmtv53 It doesn’t necessarily require the same unit that the disk was burned in I have three liteon 5045, three liteon 5005, two ilo RHD04, two ilo R04 All have replacement PC drives except two liteon 5005 which have the original DDW-451s and DDW-813s drives First, --- Any disk burned in any unit above will play un-finalized in any unit. A disk burned in any unit. With a PC replacement, can be finalized in any unit that has a PC drive replacement, but not the two 5005 with the original DDW drives. A disk burned with the DDW drives has to be finalized in either one, The 451s or the 813s, It would seem that the issue is the drive itself [make, firmware, etc.] and possibly the unit file format’ If I were you I would find, beg, borrow, steal, a similar unit that the disks were originally burned on. Than select a disk that you can live without and try to finalize it . You really don’t have anything to lose. -- [Try to play the un-finalized disks first] The other thing would be to find a unit that Will play the disks un-finalized, You could than re-record them and properly finalize them.
