is it possible to put an ordinary dvd (purchased in the shops) to mp4 (or another format surported by ipod videos) with quicktime? or is it only other video files like avi. to mp4? if so is there a good virus free piece of software to do so?

thanks. alternatively, is there anything i can actually buy in a shop like nero rather than download as i'm in the uk and my debit card (which is rubbish) won't do online transactions and i had to cancel my other card the other day?
