DVD Playback Problems with Sony DVP-NS57P

I rip the DVD and then burn them using Image Burn. I then play the dvd disc in the Sony dvd player and it stops and starts with 4 different type of disc. Has anyone else have this problem?

 

Has this player ever worked on burned disks?
Try dvd-rw

 

The more expensive players can be much more finicky than the el cheapo players. Suggest you try +R discs booktyped to dvd-rom

 

I have successfully watched burned movies with this DVD Player. It just started to stop working correctly with any discs now. I use +R -R and +R Dual Layer.

 

But did you booktype the +R 's to dvd-rom? If not, then try it.

 

I did booktype the disc.

 

Sounds like either

1) burner problem
2) disc prob ( poor quality ) I prefer Taiyo Yudens
3) player prob
