Hi i don't konw if this has been ask already but i searched and couldn't find it. Ok i've been having some problems with a few movies in play back mostly "You Got Served" and "Wild Things 2" dvd backup. I backed up both movies with latest version of shrink and burned with dvd decrypter. I comes on to the menu and when i hit play it starts to show the warnings and stuff up until it reaches some words that says "The following Interviews and comentaries are for entertainment only etc.." it normally shows it in english and then spanish and then should play the movie but no it dosen't it just keep repeating english and spanish of that statement and dosen't play the movie. Anyone know why this is happening??
I've notice this problems only in the movies that sony pictures has a part of. After the brief statement in english and then spanish it should shows a "Screen Gems" logo and play the movie but it just hooks at the statement in english and then spanish and keeps repeating. Only with these movies i've have this problem.
Hi Modit, It sounds like the IFO file is corrupted. The IFO tells your DVD player how to play the movie. In your case at the end of the warning screen title there is a command that should tell your DVD player to play the main title. Instead, the command is now telling the DVD player to play the warning title again. So it's stuck in a loop. Have you tried using your remote to navigate to the main title? What does the movie do when played in your PC? If you have applied a lot of compression with Shrink to the menu this can happen. I would suggest that you burn the main movie title only by reauthoring with Shrink.
Underworld is another movie that does it but i found out that i would press menu when its in that looping stage then it jumps into playing the movie
