Just recently I tried to playback some DVDs I ripped onto my harddrive from the originals. A strange thing is happening on my system - when I play them back using either Nero, PowerDVD or even Media Player it seems the subtitles are showing and whenever they show the whole video turns to black and white! Also some times the original audio is not working either. It's really odd! I did some searching but found nothing on this. Can someone help? Would really appreciate it! Thanks.
Update - it seems to be ok in Microsoft Media Player. I can get the audio and video doesn't go to black and white and no subtitles. However, in PowerDVD and Nero it still wants to default me to using subtitles, putting the video into black and white when subtitles shows, and starting me in the German language (DVD has both German and English). What's up?
