First of all, thanks for turning me on to DVD Shrink and Decrypter. One question, I have a pretty cheap DVD player that will not read my DVD copies. Any idea why this is?

That stand alone player does not like that media. It could be simple as slowing down your burn speed, changing media, cleaning the players laser ,or it does not like the burner's laser and therefore will not play it no matter what speed and media you use.You probably get the "no disc inserted" error.

Without knowing what burner, programs for ripping and burning, media, how fast your burning, brand of stand alone player,It is hard to tell. Many possibilities on this issue.Usually the cheaper dvd players play dvdr's better than the expensive ones.

Will your pc play that backup ok? The drive that burned it should be able to play it ok.
