Dvd player won't play dvd's

    Hi, my dvd player won't play dvd. It keeps telling me it needs software and not just the dvd player but I don't know what software it's looking for. Any ideas? Thanx a bunch...

    if you are tlaking about dvd drive for pc then you must install dvd plugins that you get on a cd when you purchase the drive. if you have the cd then install every program it might have the file u want
