Hey guys. I am working on a DVD project and need some n00b help! I searched and could not find anything similar to what I am trying to do, but if there is such a thread, please direct me there. Here is what I want. I am trying to make a randomized "power hour" DVD. (Power hour is taking a shot of beer every 60 seconds, us college students love our booze) I have compiled 300 minute long clips, from movies, music videos, internet videos, etc, and I want them to play in a random order each time the power hour is selected. So every time we watch the power hour, it is in essence, different. Also, I want to be able to choose a 100 clip option (century), and an all 300 clip option (spartan), where the clips will again play in a randomized order, each time different. To make it more complicated I also want to add a counter in the bottom corner of each scene, that shows what number clip it is on, at the beginning of each clip, and then disappears after a few seconds. All the clips I have are in .avi format, split using Virtualdub. The DVD will primarily be played in Xbox 360 and PS3. What do I need to do to get started on this? Also what is the best program to use to author something like this? What, if any, kind of scripting has to be done? I am somewhat n00bish but willing to learn this stuff.
