DVD PROBLEM

    I use DVDFab no burn my dvd´s . I use Sony DVD-R disks. I have a Sony SLV-D350P dvd/vcr combo. Some of the dvd´s wont play on my dvd player but they can be played on other dvd players.....Any suggestions?

    Call me paranoid if you want ... I don't care ... I can take it ...

    But Sony is very big in the Hollywood movie-making industry and I always thought the day might come when they would make the firmware for their player products (or burners for that matter) to not accept or play or burn dvd backups. Your player is a combo and I'm sure they put something in the player's firmware to stop you from making VHS copies of DVD's placed in the DVD tray. Maybe it's affecting your backups playing also.

    Are the movies that won't play Sony Corp DVD movie product backups? Sony could put a code on the DVD movie original disk that must be recognized by Sony players to protect their own products.

    Or it could be as simple as bad backup media. You're not using Memorex or other junk blanks are you?
