I am burning DVDs with a Sony (500AX), using DVD Xpress and have had very good luck with LeadData -R 1x with just a few coasters. Now I see that the 4x is on sale for a few cents more. If I get the 4x will it speed up the copying time? Or should I stick to what works?
    Thanks-
    Nancy

As long as your burner supports 4x media it will speed up the burn time of your backup process. Make sure you purchase a good quality 4x media. Remember the faster you go the more of a chance of errors when burning. If you get any problems on the first couple of 4x burns, reduce your speed back to 2x.

    Thanks-
Another question: Using Xpress how do you adjust burn speed? Seems like that is not an option.

In Xpress you change the blank media to control the burn speed. In other words use 2x media and the burn speed is 2x. Hope this helps.
