ive been burnin dvds with no problem with dvds that are 1-4x but realised new dvd+r i got are 8x my dvd burner is an artec internal with the following +rw = 12x record 4x rewrite 12x read -rw = 8x record 4x rewrite 12x read cdrw =40xrecord 24x rewrite 40xread i tried looking on ther website but could get filmware upgrade help please as no reciept so cant take rest of dvd packs back
What kind of media are you using? Also just because it is 8x doesn't mean you need to burn at 8x. Everybody else on this forum recommends burning at 4x. Also ALWAYS use brand Name Media.
It looks like your specs are just fime for your +R 8X media. You only listed for "rw" but if I'm not mistaken it says: +rw.... 12x record 4x rewrite 12x read
im using dvd shrink which works fine with the +r x4 media, but when play back dvd on comp with the +r x8 its sounds distorted, and when i go to put it into dvd player it comes up no disc. but i know recorderable dvd player are ok with the media as when put in blank one to record on its fine when burning with the dvd shrink it burns at x1.
