Chalkie I had the same problem so now I just use dvd decrypter to make an image and burn back.

Dont forget there is no encryption on a copy so generally it is just a data disc.make an image and burn back, give it a go

Open Nero. click on the recorder tab at the top and select choose recorder.
next click on image recorder and click ok.
this will copy all your disks to tha hard drive.
then to burn them to disk just select your recorder(in the same way as you did the image recorder) and go File--->burn Image, select the image you made and hit OK.

When u make an image, there is no way of changing any information on the image, so if u r making a backup of a backup make sure that the original backup is TOTALLY working.

I am just going to make an image now as it happens so I shall write down everything as I do it.
    Put disc in dvdrom
Open dvd decrypter and make sure your DVD is selected.
Goto mode and select ISO READ
It will then display(on the right) contents of the disc.
The destination will be c:\dvdvolume.iso or you could change it (I don't)
Then click on the dvd picture and away it goes.
This then creates an image on the hd.

When it is complete just go onto mode again and select ISO WRITE
Select your DVD WRITER leave all the options on the right as is:

    data type: mode1/2048
    write mode: dvd
    write speed: max

Now you can check or uncheck testmode/burn proof
I leave burn proof checked, but not test mode, this just tests and not burns for testing purpose.

Hoppers has just added the nero image option, I shall give it a try aswell

Now select the file (top of page) in this case dvdvolume.iso
Then click the disc piccy and away it goes, should burn ok and play.

Apparently you can also use nero to create the image, I have not tried this as this method works fine for me.
Chopper has included the nero image way
    Hope it works ok

tried both methods but no success,
with nero burned to hard drive ok but when i burned to dvd-r it stoped reporting error at 27%,tried again and stopped at 27% again.
i then tried dvd decrypter, burned image to hard drive but it stopped at 69% on 2 occasions,i then cleaned the disc and this time it went to 98% before unrecovered read error message, any ideas on how to fix this problem.
the disc i was backing up is a backup and plays ok but image could be better.
    thanks
