DVD-R Deterioration

    I know it's relatively early days but has anyone experienced any deterioration in their DVD-R's ? The reason I ask is that I'm starting to archive some precious camcorder footage and want to be sure I choose a top quality disc that isn't going to degrade. I have some Traxdata G04's that I use for movie backups. Would these be suitable ? Is there something really special out there ?
