I've been backing up some of my DVDs using DVD decrypter, a Sony Dual Layer burner, and Memorex dual layer discs. I recently realized that most, though not all, get stuck somewhere near the middle of the movies. After this "broken" part, the disc plays fine to completion. Oh, and my stand-alone is a Sony DVD player that claims to have DVD-R DL playback ability. So where in this chain am I having a problem? My inclination is the discs, but if someone can at least point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
Try the Verbatim DLs. You might also want to try using ImgBurn for ISO burn after ISO read with Decrypter. Try burning at 2.4x, too. Good luck.
