I have a dvd+R drive on my laptop and a while ago it wouldn't burn cd's at all.. but for whatever reason now it is. But i've only tried to burn a couple music cd's.. occassionally, nero does give me an error but if i throw another disc in, it'll complete the burn process successfully. The problem is, that when i listen to one of the cd's i burn it skips. I've tried at least like 10 times, different music, on different cd players.. but i get a skip every once in a while. Any suggestions on what it could be? Could the lens just be dirty? if so, can i use a dvd lens cleaner on my laptop?? Thanks for the info in advance..

I have resolved my issue. It was not my burner thank God... It ended up being the version of nero. It seems they have a couple of bugs within the 7.x.x.x. series.. it was some .dll files that were not working correctly. I found older version of the mp3pro.dll, mp3pro_dmo.dll, mp3pp.dll, mp3pro_hlp.dll, files and replaced the newer ones which are located in: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins, with the older ones i found and now it burns audio with no skipping! just figured i'd write how i fixed my issue just in case anyone else had the same problem.
