    Fellow Forum Members,
I have somewhere around 1,000 DVD / CD discs I want to transfer to my 2 TB hard drives. However, I do not want to sit there doing this work manually.

Does a DVD-R Drive exist that loads itself automatically not for the purpose of burning copies, but instead for the purpose of transfering data from a disc to a hard drive?

I want a device that will process a stack of 100 Discs so that when I come home from work I want to see my hard drive populated with 100 folders and each folder containing the corresponding data from each disc. Evenmore, on the following day when I come home from work, I want to see on my hard drive populated with additional folders numbered from 101 to 200 with all corresponding data copied successfully to the hard drive.

Does such DVD disc data transfering automation exist? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

the only way to do it would be manually changing the disk in the dvd-r drive after each one has finished copying or having someone change the disk for you.I have seen cd stackers that can hold over 100discs but they are not dvd'rs,they are not made for computers and they probably wouldnt have ripping capabilites.
