I have been told +r burns faster & -r burns deeper. Is this true? Which format do you reccomend? I will be converting 8mm analog tapes to dvd through a Best Buy Insignia brand dvd recorder.

The biggest diffrence I have saw while searching is compatiblity issues where DVD-R are more compatible then DVD+R.

Even tho I use DVD+R myself I do let people borrow my DVD Backups and they have trouble playing them on thier system.

So to correct that problem iv been booktyping my DVD+R disc as DVD-ROM and they will then work in other DVD's that didnt before.
