Is it possible tha a dvd - r could be played on a dvd player that is supposed to not play this dvds? I ask for this because my dvd player (stand alone dvd player) plays the dvd +r but not the dvd -r.
Here's a place where you may be able to get some info on your player as well as other peeps feedback on the same model: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.php Just enter you model# in the search. When it comes to playing backup copies, some of those stand alones can do some weird stuff. I've seen them play certain formats and their specs said they wouldn't play them. I've also seen them not play a certain format when they are suppose to. These players can be sensitive to certain brands of media/certain format/and even the quality of a dvd-rw drive can influence what a stand alone player will read. I've got 6 pc burners. My players play everything off my benq, but do some no disc inserted errors on the other 3-crappy burners.
Thnaks, saugmon. What you say is true: I have a panasonic and it´s not supossed to read rw media and by accident I tried to play a dvdrw and it did it.
