recently i just bought a 25 pack of tdk dvd-r and out of 17 only 3 were able to complete sucessfully.before this i just went through a 50 pack of cheap cds and all of them worked no problem. right now i am using dvd shrink to rip and then nero to burn and it was working fine until this.when i first got my burner i had to reboot windows and do that forcaspi but now i can only rip . after im done ripping it automatically starts the burning procces then after 3-5 mins. it says burn process failed. i also recieved one that said power calibration error..please help im a noob.. - EDIT OUT your serial number - that's way old, latest is 6.6.0.16 - which one of these is your exact drive ? - http://www.microadvantage.net/support/index.php?class=2 as we can determine if your burner's firmware is out of date or not - you need to close down more programs prior to burning - splat! - try 4x - OMG i don't know what to make of that lot just yet update Nero, let us know which exact drive you have and we can go from there..
thanks all i did was set the target size smaller and burn at 4x and its working fine..should i still update nero and just wondering how long should it take to rip a movie
no worries, but pls do the other suggesed fixes, plus EDIT OUT your serial number as it's probably been stolen by now
