Will DVD-R media work on more DVD players? I have an older DVD player and when I run DVD+ on it seems to skip and freeze. My in-laws have a newer DVD player that I bought them this past Christmas and the DVD plays fine. Should I write to DVD-R instead?.....Will that play better on my older player?

DVD-R is more compatible with older players. DVD+R is a better format and more technologically up to date. I have an older player and it will only play this format. You can use DVD+R and booktype them to -R format and that should work on all players.

Ok, I use Pinnacle Studio 9 to write my DVD format........then use Nero to burn it to a DVD+R. Where & how do I bookmark for DVD-R format? I appreciate all your help, you've already answered a ton of questions for me. It's tuff being the new kid on the block!

I am not familiar with Pinnacle, I use DVDDecrypter and Nero to burn. In Decrypter you use this

In Nero I believe the option is in Choose Recorder.
