DVD-R playback on a Blu-Ray player issues

    (I did search the forums and guides but this is a square peg of a question)

    Hi all,

    I've gotten 2 Blu-Ray players in the last few weeks - a LG BD390 and a Insignia BWBDVD.

    I can not play my DVD-R backup copies on those players without heavy stop-start playback and pixelation. Needless to say, it's annoying as hell.

    I can play back the DVD-R if I go thru Data mode and find the appropriate .vob file. But using the DVD-R as a DVD isn't a possibility without getting frustrated.

    The original DVD plays just fine in the Blu-Ray players.

    I'm using AnyDVD and DVDNextCopy2. Media brands are WinData and Imation.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    1) Taiyo Yuden
    2) Sony


    Burn with Imgburn

    Went with a Sony DVD-R Ver 2.1 with AcuCore

    Still no-go.
