Welcome to the forum. Please do not post in Caps. Your problem is a compatibility problem between the DVD blanks and the Players. You will have to experiment a little a see if any blank DVD will play. Also Lite-On has a booktype utility that will take a DVD(+) and make the player think it is a DVD-Rom so I would try that as that should help w/ compatibility. The utility should be on their website. I would not use the Memorex as they have no quality control on the disks

I could see the old RCA player having issues, but the new Philips should play most anything. I have the DVP 642 which is multi-format like the 622 and mine plays most anything that's round. You may want to check for a firmware update. Philips sometimes has those for their players.

The Maxell +R in the past has been manufactured by Ricoh and Taiyo Yuden, both good sources. Use the freeware utility DVD Identifier and post the info you get for your media here. It will help us know more about what you're using, you can't go by just brands. Memorex got a bad name by selling the CMC Magnetics manufactured media. So, check for firmware and follow Car.Mike's suggestion on media and booktyping, and post the media info you get on your media using DVD Identifier. DVDInfoPro (freeware) sets DVD ROM booktype on drives that have the capability. It also does the media identification that DVD Identifier does. So, if you have DVDInfoPro, you don't need DVD Identifier unless you just want it. http://www.DVDInfoPro.com/ Here's a screenshot to speed you on your way with booktyping. Click the icon circled with the arrow pointer and it opens the window that the other arrow points to. Pay attention to the note on Nero, you can set booktyping in Nero as well. [IMG]
