I have ripped DVD's from Region 2 using DVD Decrypter, then used DVD Shrink and then burned using imgburn, with the Nero Engine. These will play on my PC that is set for Region 1. These Movies are now region free apparently. However they will not play on the DVD player I have. WHY? I reburned and set to region 1 rather than region free and it made no difference. All Region 1 DVD's I copy work just fine.
I think it is a Pal issue. The system does not support both. I have found a number of suggestions as to how to convert. I tried one, took about 12 hours and I was left where I began, with Video.fob files in PAL!
