First of all I would applaud all the senior members and the afterdawn addicts. Way to go gys. Your help has been great. I started with DVDdecrypter-VOBblanker-Recode and Nero to burn. Hey it works great and the guide form Alkohol, pure genuis. I tried to copy T2 extreme DVD for my son. No way so i have since given up on that project. My question is since I have purchase DVD-RB PRO, is the preview edit button. If you blank out the extras such as trailers, does this automatically increase the compression on the feature? Or does one slide the slider button on the feature. Second question if I may be so bold to ask is with HC encoder the VBR passes are set to 2 and no more, can this be changed? I am not sure if i need to do this. There is so much to learn, sound like a need a book on all this...lol. Thanks, eh.

No, the feature should have less compression. You can either check the Blank box or use the slider to increase/decrease specific segment. When done, you must reallocate saved space to the feature, thereby allowing the feature to have more bitrates.

There is no setting to set the VBR passes for HC. HC will only do 2 passes in VBR mode, and 1 pass in OPV mode. Give the bitrate redistribution feature a try. The quality will probably be better.
