dvd read/write help

    I have an acer 5610z with a pioneer dvd/rw dvr-k17rs drive. When I try to burn a cd/dvd it say's this:

    And my drive under my computer looks like this:

    Any help would be great, thanks

    Oh, and when I use other programs, it say no cd recorder present.

    Wanna help man, but im afraid windows vista is WAY out of my league. Though I do wanna play with it. I believe vista still requires time. Plus ive never seen that error message. MOST unusual.

    Thanks. I'm installing xp right now. I'm tired of vista, nothing but problems.

    In my opinion, AND I could be wrong. Vista addresses... that is, its kindof a gamers OS, from what ive read. Know this, There are games (and if your a gamer) that require vista. Though im sure there are shortcuts/plugins etc, that can make xp run those games. And I think direct x 10 is available ONLY for vista. Though again, im sure there are tricks for xp to run it. As I said, out of my league!
