Any pointers that you RB guru's could give me? I have the "Buffy the Vampire Series" that I want to back up. I would normally just use CloneDVD2, but if there is a way to keep the episode titles and preserve the menu options I would certainly be interested.

    Thanks.

Just rip to the HDD with DVD Decrypter and load in DVD-RB+CCE. Just like any other DVD you would backup with DVD-RB+CCE.

If you have ever used the option to steal space from Extra's make sure this option is not selected. It will pick 1 epiosde off the DVD and claim it is the main movie and then all the other Episodes on the disc will be set to less quaility and givin to the selcted main movie episode. (This is commen issue just giving you a heads up to make sure you do not select "Steal Space from extra's)

Other then that you should got great resaults on your Episode DVD's. I think you will be very pleased.

Looking forward to giving it a go this weekend. I am hoping that the menu's will work just like in CloneDVD.

    Cheers.

    Another question for larrylje.

Doing the episodes there are several bits that I want to remove at the end of each episode as they are very redundant and I would just like to skip them. I went to the edit screen and blanked them out. Processed and burned them. On playback the blanked out items were still there. Any idea what I did wrong?

I never use the edit feature of DVD Rebuilder. If I want to edit out stuff I use DVDRemake Pro. Then run the DVD through DVD-RB to encode.

Maybe someone else can help you out there. Sorry that i can not answer that question. Maybe I will fiddle with the program when i have some spare time and learn about that part of the program.

I have been playing with DVDReMakePro as well. Do you run your Remake files through FixVTS when you are done remaking?

I got some feedback from jdobbs at the rebuilder forum and asked him the same question. Seems that you have to save and exit, prior to encoding for the blanked out portions to be blanked out. Logical I guess.

    Thank you.

When i'm done remaking i just export a test dvd to make sure things are the way i want them to be. Then i just run the dvd through rebuilder.

Do you use a player on your computer to view the export? I have VLC. I will look into this.

Do you ever modify the menus? I am doing the Buffy series and don't like the fact that there are two menus have have to be navigated. The main menu where you select the episode and then the episode menu where you can select to play the episode or play extra's or director comments. I never keep the extras or DC's so do not need the secondary menu.
I want to modify them to delete the secondary menu and have the main menu play the episode automatically. Does that make sense?

There is a "bypass menu" action in DvdReMake Pro. You can just right click on button in secondary menu you want to be activated ("play episode") and select "bypass menu". That is it. This will get rid of secondary menu and start episode palyback right after button in main menu is pressed.

Thanks for that. I guess then that when I have the block with the secondary menu pulled up and there are the identity squares (button) on the block, that is where I right click and select bypass menu?

Newby, so not to familiar with the program, but learning.
