Bought a dvd repair kit the liquid re-surfacing solution is nothing more than 95% filtered water and 0.5% isopropanol (preservative), just something to lubricate the disk while its being re-surfaced,I think.

I wonder why Windex would'nt work, or contact lense cleaning solution, has anyone expermented?

    thanks

windex will work as for taking off finger prints , if the disk has deeper marks on it you might try some kind of car polish and a soft cloth not paper towels they scratch to much
