    I have a DVD/CD Rewritable Drive Model SH-20A1S. I imagine it is a Lite-On Model?
The problem i have is the connection at the rear, it does not contain an interface which is pins of which a plug attaches to.
It appears that one complete plug slides onto this socket which is around 45mm long X just under 10mm thick. Above is written Sata Power and another box containing Sata Data. On the other side there is a six pin connector. How can i use this drive on my pc with the standard connection or is there something missing on this drive.I have got no joy from the company i purchased this unit from and want to send it back but i am unsure what to do.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Thankyou for the info although i already have this but it still does not tell me if it is possible to have the connection that fits this drive at one end and a connection which goes to the Motherboard on the other side.
Strange thing is that this drive is compatible for XP2000 and Vista, but the older XP 2000 versions would not have had this connection anyway? is there a possibility that there is something missing?
I am sending this drive back tomorrow as something is up here.
Anyhelp please over the weekend if nothing i will end up sending the drive back to where i purchased it.

does your motherboard have sata connections because from your post it does not sound like it?
