I have some gift certs for best buy and they have a few different external usb dvd burners im looking into. Im considering strongly the LITE ON BRAND Lite On - EZ-DUB 16x External Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive SOHW-1673SU USB 2.0 interface; up to 16x DVD+R and DVD-R write speeds; SMART-X technology -I heard they were good drives for the money. IS DVD Ripper compatible with pretty much all dvd burners? ps. they also have an HP, an LG, and a Samsung external. I checked the specs (which are all similiar),& my laptop has the necessary specs as well. Just need to know if dvd ripper platinum has any hang-ups with certain drives? Thanks, Appreciate it

Hey aabb.Ive always been able to back up my music cds. My goal which is to cut chapters of audio only from a dvd. AFter which i convert them into individual mp3s which i can either put on cd or put in my ipod. I have many concert dvds. This is why i want this. I prefer live concerts over studio versions. Its not practical to have a dvd player in my car since i cant watch and drive at the same tiem. Instead of getting the movie itself (which occasionally i will ofcourse), i want to only rip the audio chapters. I will investigate the other products in the future. For now i m going to get the xiliosoft dvd ripper platinum. You can rip whole dvds to dvd and/ or seperate chapters etc. I am interested in the software you mentioned as well. Thanks so much for your reply and im always interested in what you After Dawn addicts have to say, since i am new.
