When I try to rip dvd using Smartripper keeps coming up 'no ASPI-adapter' and then 'Some files are still locked,try to unlock with player' but vob file will not unlock. My DVD-ROM is a Toshiba SD-M1612. Could someone please help. Also Smartripper is in german is this only on installation, is there an english version?

Get "Force Aspi" drivers from here: http://aspi.radified.com/ And Smart Ripper" English from here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/smartripper.cfm Run smart.exe the language it´s german first but click on the "weiter" button and then the "entpacken" button and you extract the files to your folder. Then in that folder you have a new folder called "SmartRipper 2.41". Open it and you got the english SmartRipper. Just run the SmartRipper.exe But first run the "instaspi.bat" in the folder where you extracted the "Force Aspi". Try to unlock the files through playing the dvd with your dvd player software for some seconds first and then try smartRipper to rip the files. Peter.
which version of 'force aspi' do I use for WinXP because it only lists NT and Win9x. Cheers for your help
Hi. I use the Windows NT version. Windows NT / 2000 / XP: windows\system32\drivers\aspi32.sys windows\system\wowpost.exe windows\system\winaspi.dll windows\system\wnaspi32.dll It works for me. Just run instaspi.bat Peter.
