Im wondering if my ripping time is way to long and what I could do to help. It takes me about 54 min to 1hour 5 min to rip and burn a backup of my dvds. It only takes 8 min to actually burn the dvd the rest is ripping time. I use dvd-shrink. Im just wondering if upping my ram I have 384 now or my proc Im useing a POS celeron 1.3 now might help, or if its just a slow read time on my burner. So if anyone can tell me if this amount of time is normal or not I would apreciate it! Thanks, Fibertag
Get a cheap DVD-ROM 12-16x reader and you will see a big difference. Your DVD burner will be locked at 2x-2.4x reading on DVD's which makes the procces slow. So use DVD-ROM to read and DVD Burner to burn. Also, get as much RAM as you can, I run 1gb 400mhz with no problems but over 512mb is recomended.
With dvd decrypter it takes Me 8-12 minutes to do upto a 7 gig disc dvd2one that takes 20 minutes 25 minutes to burn usually an hour for Me for a back up DaOsT
