Hi.I have a 18 month old toshiba A10 laptop with a SD-C2612 Dvd-rom drive which has stopped working.I put a cd in the drive and you can hear it spinning for about 5 secs then stops,then thats it..nothing.. I have been to device manager and the status reads as follows.... Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device. I tried uninstall-reinstall as the troubleshoot advised but that didnt solve it,Don't really know what to do next so if anyone can help with this problem then that would be great.
