I am using DVD rom drives to back up my dvdrw I will to encode movies, games etc. so my burner will have a longer lifespan. Although they dont seem to last that long. They slow down a whole lot and eventually stop reading. I have gone through atleast half a dozen in the last year. I had a Lite-on,LG,MSI,and a couple generic noname ones. The MSI was the worst,Lite-on was the better one of the bunch. I am currently using a BTC its seems to be working OK for now, but I have a feeling its gonna go out pretty soon. I saw a Emprex at FRY's for $20.Is Emprex any good? I know like other things that if you use them enough the will eventually crap out and they are fairly cheap sometimes, but its starting to get annoying having to change them out and stuff. Are there any good drives out there that I have not mentioned. If so plese send your reccomendations. Thanks in advance to all that do reply
