my dvd rom just a few hours ago stopped reading cd's burned cd's and dvd's. It started this afternoon when i was looking for an mp3 on some cd's, i looked at one right after the other now it wont read anything, when i open the tray to put a cd in the little light comes on but when i close it, it's like i didnt put anything in there. Any advice or sollutions would be greatly welcome as i am not much of a computer fixer. dont tell anyone!
Go to Device manager and unistall your drive then reboot. Windows will auto reinstall your drive. If that deosn't help then try this.. If neither help, you need to replace your drive.
