I have been forced to use my burner as the reader because the DVD Rom absolutly will not read using DVD X Plat. Getting nothing but read error messeages. Had excellent results using the burner as the reader but the read times are 15-18 min long. Still I shouldn't have to do it that way. My system is as follows: Pent 4 3.2 MSI mobo 865 PE FIS2R Neo2 MSI 16x DVD Rom MSI 8x DVD Burner R+- Reader on IDE #1 , Burner on 2 and HDD on 3 DVD X Plat Version 321 No Black Listed Programs Turning Everything Off That's Possible in MSCONFIG & Rebooting Installed Adaptec Driver 471a2 Win Home XP Will provide any other info as requested. Rom reads DVD's, CD's fine but getting nothing but read errors with DVD X Plat. Thank you for your time. Butch R
Sounds like an Xcopy issue if the ROM works for everything but Xcopy.
