Ok, I know you can't take a DVD movie and simply burn from a DVD-Rom to a DVD-R drive like we could in the "old-days" with CDs. My question is, however, if you backup a movie to a DVD-R through the normal procedures, can you then make copies of that backup doing a "diskcopy" type procedure from one drive to another? Is there anything of that sort (games, PS2, movies) that will work in a "diskcopy" type method? Thanks all...your site has helped me tremendously._X_X_X_X_X_[small]Matt Maciag matt@thinkmatt.com www.thinkmatt.com[/small]
When you say DVD-rom do you mean like a shop bought or rented DVD? DVD-rom's are genrally PC or games console disks not movie disks. Have a look at "alcohol 120%" or "instant cd\dvd" I think they can, but dont know what the results are like. Crowds
If (using specific program that I will not name for sake of time) you backup a movie to dvd+-r/rw and remove all css protection, then you should be able to simply do a disc copy.
I was referring to the multitude of DVD applications out there. Could be movies, PC software, PC games, console games, etc. The movie thing has been pretty well dealt with on this site as far as the encoding and whatnot. I think msb5150 covered it after the fact. Has anyone do that?
