A long time ago, I bought a DVD-RW memorex 15 pack at 2x speed. Now when I record, I notice it is slow. I have another pack of 5 whose write speed is 4x.

Of course, the 4x is faster. If I burn say 2 gigs worth of data, it takes my 4x about 6 mins. If I burn the same data with the 2x, it is close to 20 mins. Does that sound write?

One time I did a test of burning a 700 meg file to the DVD2x, and to a 10x CD-RW. The CD-RW burnt the data faster than my DVD-RW 2x, shouldn't it be the other way around?

    I am using a Lite-ON dvd burner.

A waste of money, IMO. Memorex is junk blank media. Best bet is with Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Sony.
