I've had a couple of problems when burning using my DVD-RW discs, (Datawrite 2x). Sometimes when I've burnt a divx movie onto a DVD-RW when i come to erase it at a later stage and burn again I get errors. Looking at the rear of the disc I can see a burn imprint on the disc. This to me means the disc has been permanently burnt like a standard DVD-R. I can erase it using Windows but Nero won't burn on it again, get a 'burn failure' message. Nero has also come up with errors while I try to erase it in Nero.I've got 2 discs like this. I used a brand new disc last night and it burnt no problems and also there was no burn imprint on the rear. Any ideas why this happened? On one disc it was almost full so Nero finalized it, on the other disc it was only 750meg used. Both can't be used again. faulty disc or nero problem? If Nero any ideas to solve this problem?

Try to format with imgburn or dvddecrypter to see.

I had a go at erasing the disc using Nero but on the longer version tr erase that took 30mins. I couldn't beleive it after. The burn makes had gone and the disc was ok. There again i've not tested it out but fingers crossed the full erase worked. i'm not sure how it worked that way and not the quick-erase when it worked for me in the past. Thanks for info anyway. I'll bear imgburn in mind for future referance
