Hello everyone please help me with this problem... I reinstaled windows and after that my dvd drive is not working. but in properties it shows that devices is working properly... Last time when i instaled new windows i didn't had that problem... what could cause it? computer is recognizing my dvd rom but it doesn't read any cd or dvd's...
In order for your computer to read CDs or DVDs, it needs the software to open them. Windows Media player can do it, and it is usually installed with Windows unless your installation disc does not include it. In that case, updating Windows on the Microsoft site should add it. People usually add a second or third reading application such as Nero's player or Cyberlink's PowerDVD.
