Using DVD shrink and DVD encryptor I copied a DVD on my pc to a DVD +RW drive. I then played it on a panasonic e55 DVD recorder no problem. The instructions for the panasonic state that it only supports DVD -r, -rw and RAM. No program can make a DVD +RW play in a standalone player that does not support it; this means that your player actually does support the media type no matter what the instructions said.
