Hi I am using memorex dvd+rw to record on . Have used them in the past ..but recently all have been unsucessful the hang the drive up and it wont read them.cant format them because drive wont read them it keeps trying to but just cant anything would be helpful burner is a digital research made by i/o magic using nero to burn
Is this by chance a new batch?? The biggest problem with Memorex media at this time is that they buy blanks from many different companies. Lately the company they purchase from is called CMC Mag. It is a company known for cheap/poor quality media. The -R and +R versions have a failure rate of about 50% right now. Many of the problems are exactly what you are stating. Not all Memorex are bad but you can't trust them anymore. I have a few Memorex RW discs made by Ritek and they keep on going. So my suggestion is try a different brand of blank media. Jerry
