DVD -RW/R problem

    I have a dual recorder VCR/ DVD and have transfered the video to the DVD-RW/R however my Laptop will not read the DVD-RW/R so that I can get it into my editing software...is there anything I can do, other than using a seperate capturing device from the recorder straigh to the computer?

    Okay ... is the disc that you're using a DVD-R or a DVD-RW? It can't be both at the same time. Are you finalizing the discs? If you aren't finalizing the discs, they will not play on anything other than the recorder you recorded them on ...
