Environment: P4 2.8 GIG Intel CPU 1GIG RAM 80GIG Disk drive Windows XP Pro SP2 Vision Express Version:3.1.0.25 Problem: When creating my movie with Vision Express 3 from imported mpeg files produced with a sony DCR-SR100 camcorder and burning it to a DVD+RW, the finished product works as expected when played on the computer. When attempting to play the DVD on my DVD player connected to the TV, the audio goes in and out on the menu screen. When trying activate the play button on the menu screen, the DVD player stops. Note: I can create a movie from the same mpeg files and add the same audio to the background and the mpeg files using the Pixela ImageMixer for HDD Camcorder software and then burn it to the same DVD+RW disk and the finished production works just fine on both the computer and my DVD player connected to the TV. Question: What do I need to change or check in the VisionExpress software in order to make my burned movie function in my DVD player connected to my TV? Thanks
Have you tried the bad DVD in another player to see if it has something to do with your player's abilities? Do you have a way of finding out what settings the other software uses to encode the DVD? You can change most of the settings for sound and such in Nero to try, but if you knew the other settings that worked, it would help. Maybe comparing the 2 DVDs would tell you something. Use one of the Nero utilities to get disc information.
Thanks for the reply back. I'm going to chalk it up a weird difference between Pixela ImageMixer and Nero VisionExpress 3 and their compatiblities with my cheap DVD player. I was able to play the DVD+RW fine on another cheap DVD player that was purchased a couple of years before the cheap DVD player that it doesn't work on. They both state in their manuals that the media format I am using is supported. Thanks anyway Gary
