After successfully using DVd Santa to convert from an AVI file to DVD format, the burn process refuses to work. After a brief attempt at starting the burn process a window called 'Error Trace' pops up that states 'Write data failed'. Doe anyone have a clue how to get over this, or a contact/support e-mail address for DVD Santa themselves (the one on their website does not seem to function).
If the encoding works fine, you can use any other burning program (e.g. Nero) for burning to dvd. DVDSanta is not that good at burning.
Yeah, that's exactly what I ended up doing. It just seems a shame as it is possible to create a dvd directly from my minidv camcorder footage without having to dump it back from the camera as one huge avi file. I just hoped that there was a fix for what is, obviously, a basic bug.
